Barbara is influenced by the beauty of the world around her.
Always aware of her environment and looking for the moment in time she wishes to capture on her tiny canvases.
Many of her paintings depict the local landscape around Livermore, California.
She also travels several times a year to find new landscapes to collect for reference.
She and her husband, Bill Maranville, like to find pristine wilderness areas in Bill's four wheel drive Jeep.
She uses the camera and sketch pad to gather reference material for future paintings but relishes the moments that she can paint on location.

Each painting in the catalog is a one of a kind original oil painting handcrafted with love.
Maybe one of them will speak to your heart.
All original miniature oil paintings include an appropriate sized handcrafted wooden easel.
All of the miniatures come framed and ready to display on a shelf or in your dollhouse.

Many of Barbara's original paintings are away at show's or are in galleries at the moment.
If this is the case, shipment may be delayed a few weeks while they are being returned.
The paintings that have been entered into competitions have been framed in a very unique way.
They are still in their miniature frame but are floating in a suitable larger frame so they can be hung on a wall and are suit the needs of the shows and galleries.
If you prefer only the tiny miniature frame without the full size one you will receive a $35. discount.
